The Saint John Wanderers continued their undefeated run in the Maritime Football League with a 42-13 pasting of the P.E.I. Privateers in Charlottetown Saturday.

Jon Haines had three touchdowns to lead the Wanderers on offence and defence.  Haines scored on a 74-yard run on Saint John’s first play of the game, rushed for another TD and also added a 42-yard interception return as the Wanderers improved to 5-0 and clinched first place in the New Brunswick Conference.  Mike Thomas returned an interception for a TD as well and added a 55-yard scoring run for Saint John.

P.E.I.’s Steve MacPhee scored on a two-yard plunge and quarterback Tex Mutch hooked up with Adam Chaloner for a 35-yard strike in a losing cause.
