The Wanderers prevailed in a game featuring tough defence. Jon Haines opened the scoring with less than a minute to go in the first half when he recovered a teammate’s fumble in the Moncton end zone. Doug McPhee added the convert.
In the third quarter Todd White picked up a Marshals fumble and rumbled 50 yards for the major. McPhee again converted.
The Marshals mounted a drive in the last three minutes of the game but could get no closer than the Wanderers 10 yard line
The Wanderers win clinched first place in the NBSFL and a berth in the Maritime Bowl Game.
